About:

I graduated from Columbia University’s School of General Studies in May 2024 with a B.A. in Art History. I’m also a Fashion Design AAS candidate at the Fashion Institute of Technology.

Art & Design are my biggest passions and inspire everything I do.

Experience:

I am a former professional ballet dancer and followed an untraditional educational path. After retiring from ballet, I worked as an assistant creative director for a startup, then co-founded, developed, and managed the content produced for a fashion movement company, all before attending Columbia University.

Since graduating in May 2024, I’ve launched Belle Watson Studio, an art & fashion inspired ballet studio made for non-dancers to experience the benefits of ballet technique.

During my studies, I worked with Passerby Magazine, a women’s magazine that focuses on empowerment through an interview format, and then joined No. 29 Communications, a female-owned full-service communications agency, as their fashion public relations intern. I gained a solid understanding of marketing strategies to make big impacts for small brands.

I’ve worked professionally as the co-founder and co-director of a fashion movement direction company, Dead Serious NYC. I scouted and directed models for commissioned photo shoots, music videos, and New York Fashion Week. My work with Dead Serious NYC has been featured on Vogue Runway, WWD, Purple Magazine, and more. I was also the assistant to the creative director of the luxury jewelry brand, Jencks Howland. I scouted creative talent for their first lookbook, assisted photoshoots, and assisted in brand development. I also interned for Sydney Reising Creative, a fashion public relations agency, and I am currently a contributor for Joi Journal.

With my diverse resume, I can utilize my knowledge in public relations, social media, marketing, direction, and production fields to produce a wide range of quality content, from copy writing to content production and anything in between.
